Hi guys :)
HI :D...I'm Michelle (but most of you know me already...if you don't there's something wrong with you because you should know me by now -.-). Since none of you guys volunteered for this job, I'm stuck with it....but it's not that bad. :) So yeah...I'm gonna be posting random stuff and updates on our team from now on. Remember to check this regularly or once in a while because there might be important information on this!
Hello! This is Amy and I think Michelle summed up everything... less typing for me! \(>.<)/ :D

Project: Help from others
Now enjoy a picture of Marky here.
Currently, we are working on the project. Part of is contains reaching out to the community and interviewing emergency responders. If you have any relatives or friends who have emergency responder contact, it would be appreciated if you would write a comment on our blog telling us their occupation (or old job), their name, and their phone number or email. We appreciate your help and support to Mesa Robles Robotics FLL Team.
Thank you!
#2397 (I'm not gonna write this for the next post) Robot Update
Yay first update :D! So now since school has started and FLL is back on track now, we've been working on a new robot to complete multiple task (*ahem* mostly the cat and dog). So far, the robot has a light sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and a new claw. Currently, we are trying to program our robot to grab the cat and dog and return it to the home base on the robot board.
As you can see, we have failed many times:

But we've also succeed a few times :) (you have to watch the very end of this pointless video to see):
So yeah...good job guys and keep up the good work!
Problems with the Robot
Today we had to alternate the wheels because our robot is drifting from side to side. So our new wheels are bigger now :D. But seriously, now that we put new wheels, our robot has better leverage but does not drive straight Our claw isn't working either. It isn't able to pick up the cat and dog. I like the other team's idea because theirs is pretty proficient but we can't just take their idea...so over the next few days, think of other ways to improve our robot :D.
Btw here's a picture of our robot with the new wheels: (oh wait nvm Amy gave me the wrong picture. Meanwhile, you can enjoy this picture of Justin Wu)

Update #1
Hey! I'm Amy! And most of you SHOULD know me by now. Today after all our tests on new wheels for our robot, we have found a solution! \(^.^)/ We used the same wheels as we did last time and attached it more securely but a different back wheel causing the drift to lessen. We are so happy we could finally find the solution and get back on track with our robot. Our wheels is a spectacular success and next, we plan on making a new claw! Our claw is pretty neat, but I think it should be used as back-up. Justin, Thomas, and I, have found out an amazing idea that is similar to the other teams (I admit) but may work even better. I really like the other teams idea, same as last years, but I guess its time we made our own crazy ideas don't you think? \m/ (>.<) \m/
Wondering...
I'm wondering, do we really need all our fancy gadget items such as the color sensors, ultra sonic, sound sensor, and touch sensor? I'm sure they will help later on as we get further into competition.
